Alums Return to Campus Over 1,000 alumni trekked back to their alma mater last weekend to be celebrated, to meet old class mates and to see their school "grow and grow and grow," Their weekend was filled with luncheons, lectures and parades, but as one old-timer said, "the most fun of the visit is just walking around." Many of those who have not returned for a while were amazed at the University's expansion. Hammond and Pollock Circle were two points of fascination for them. The oldest alumnus to return this year was Harry 0. Way of the class of 1899. He graduated two years before the Alma Mater was written, five years before freshman customs and 11 years before the first summer session. The alumni bring back memories of the traditions of the University: A University that has increased its student body from 119 to over 18,000. It has increased its staff from four to close to 4,000. Its physical plant has increased from an incomplete five-story building to over 140 major struct...

Engineering Deportment Established A Department of Management Engineering will be established at the University, which will provide specially qualified personnel to conduct studies, assemble facts, and make recommendations on the allocation and utilization of University facilities and equipment, according to George R.
