It is said, with apparent confidence, that Judge Nelson, of New Yotk, owing to liis advanced ago, will soon retire from the same Bench. He was appointed by President Polk in 1845, and is 78 years old. A EILL has been introduced into the Sen ate of the United States to repeal the odious test, or as it is mure familiarly called, the Iron clad oath, which was enicted in 18C2.
