S. llaycs, first vice president of the Missouri Pacific system; J. W. Miller, vice president and general manager of the St. Louis, Ft. Scott Je Wichita; Capt. Mead, an eastern stock holder; Mr. Wood, chief engineer und T. M. Lewis, superintendent, arrived from Fort Scott by special train. Tho train consisted of a baggage and commissary car; Col.
