A man overtook him and entered into conversation with Palmer and grew in hit confidence, in tr ceune of the evening, at tuch a rate, that he prevailed upon Palmer to ahow him hit money and tell lum how much he had. Yellow FiW. This deadly scourge is traveling up the riv er, and is already prevailing with considerable violence at Natchez, Vicksburg, and other points on the Lower Mississippi. The llrjmblican, of this morning, ntthe instance of an experienced river man, advises pur city authorities to pre pare against the advent end ravages ot the dis ease litre, by timely cleansing and purifying. We hope instant and thorough precautionary measures will be taken.
