SENSENBRENNER, Manf. 1039-1047 Fourth St. SAN DIEGO SPECIALISM. The present age is the age of specialism the by-word of success. The "Jack of all trades" is of the past, and today he may be a rogue or a thief, a disgrace to society. Specialism asserts itself everywhere and its influence is world wide. The Chief Missionary Carver of the Cannibal Islands is a specialist with a reputation far greater than the man who runs a dozen banks, and the reason is simple and easily explained. To torture a missionary successfully has been the life study of the dusky Carver, while the puny capitalist has, through continual dabbling and shifting, but secured for himself a speaking acquaintance with a few shady and bribable politicians, to be known by these gentlemen only as long as bills need passing. But we will localize. Turning to our own Tent City ...

ENTR'ACTE "The Ballet Girl" 2. ORIENTAL SERENADE "The Star Dreamer" Bendix Master Geo. Rheam SYNOPSIS: A New York regiment of Uncle Sam's "Boys in Blue," just back from the Philippines, accepts an invitation to visit the Buffalo exposition, and the scene opens with the entourage, drum corps, band and all, on the way to the station. The train awaits them at the station, "All Aboard" is soon sounded and amid the piping of fifes, beat of drums, fanfare of brass, clanging of bells and screeching of whistles, "They're off." ...

SENSENBRENNER, Manf. 1039-1047 Fourth St. SAN DIEGO BLOOMING BRITISHERS, "Rule Britannia! But " "Yes, that's all very well, but where would she be without her colonies?" The last was spoken by a Canadian who, as he sipped from the delicate Worcester china cup, looked defiance at the raw Englishman, who, at the other side of the well-stocked tea table, waxed patriotic. King Teddy's subjects gathered in force at the tent of Mrs. W. H. Cooper on Monday afternoon to partake of that famous brew which requires the English atmosphere and influence to make it perfect. Perfect it was, and we will only admit of one other in camp who can equal it. The affair was very, very much English, and the tea drinkers experienced many a home longing when they gazed upon the equipage. An imported Union Jack formed the center piece, and the floral decorations ...
