Crops were beaten down and land badly washed. The board of school trustees met Wednesday morning and the netor members took up their respective duties. New officers of the hoard elected were: J. S. Snook, president. J. R. Heslep, secretary; M. L. Wo- mack, treasurer. The matter of electing a superin- tendent of the city school was ta- ken up and Professor J. W. Smith of Corsicanna, was unanimously elected.
