EDITOR.-- I have been requested by the passengers by the "Ben Bolt" (in   her last trip to this port), to express their confidence in Captain M'Ewen, for the way in which he managed the vessel   coming down, feeling sure that he knows the coast well, and that he used every caution to make the trip safe, so far as lay in his power ; also to express their sense if the treatment of Messrs. THE ROCKHAMPTON BULLETIN AND CENTRAL QUEENSLAND ADVERTISER SATURDAY, NOVEMBER 23, 1861.   CAPTAIN COTTIER brought the welcome news on Saturday evening, that the   "Persia" had anchored in Port Curtis;           and the mail from Brisbane also con-   tained letters from the COLONIAL SECRE- TARY relative to the matter-one ad-   dressed to the Police Magistrate of the     district, and thc other to thc Major of     Rockhampton.
