Melbourne Wool Sales. Dalgety's offered a large and attractive catalogue on Monday of over 6,500 bales Wools from south east of South Aus tralia. and Western Gippsland districts of Victoria were much in evidence. There was a large attendance of buyers and com petition was very animated. Owing to easier position of the money market, and firm closing of London sales prices were again in favor of sellers, and the market for most wools now shows a distinct rise as compared with December. Tuesday. The New Zealand Loan and Mercan tile Agency Co Ltd report :-Our cata logue to-day comprised some 5900 bales, and having regard to the lateness of the season the selection was a wonderfully. good one, including as it did many high class merino and crossbred clips,. a very large proportion of which was in excel lent condition. As wrs the case last week the chief feature of the sale was the support accorded the market by York shire, these operators again securing the largest share of the oflerings...

KERANG ASSOCIATION V. BOORT ASSOCIATION. A team from the Kerang Association visited Boort on Foundation Day and playod a match with a team from the jBoort Association. Kerang batted first and put together 198 runs, Drunmmnond 62, Willis 35, being top scorers. Boort responded with 228 runs, thereby win ning the match by 30 runs. The Kerang team were hospitably entertained by the Boort Club with a luncheon at midday and a banquet iu the evening, the team arriviq in Kerang at 2 a.ui- after what was declared on both sides to be one of the best outings they had ever enjoyed. A feature of the banquet was the speecher and musical items by the mem ners of each cub which were thoroughly enjoped.

LAKE CHARM RACES. The annual meeting of the Lake Charm Racing Club was held on Wednesday last. There was a fairly large attend ance, but the day was not too good, it being windy and dusty. 'The racing taken all through was fair, some good fields going to the starting post. Miss Colin was the most successful performer for the day by winning the double-Han dicap and Welter. Mr J. Soantleton, as secretary, carried out. his duties to the best of his ability, and was ably assisted by a strong working committee. The following are the results of the various events : TRIAL STAKES.
