STATE SCHOOL COM MITTEE. ' The triennial meeting of parents to elect the new school committee was held at the lioort State school oil Monday afternoon, when a fair number turned up. Mi- Job Weaver, chairman of the last committee, gave a brief account, uf what had been done in the past'. He said the Government had been urged to do certain works in ccn nection with the school, and they had received a few concessions. Some of the promises had been cur tailed. Efforts had been made to secure, a Higher Elementary School at Boort. He had inter viewed Mr Ttife, who gave him a patient hearing.
