(ttr-'NiBW Church. —The lot, corner of Hill and Plank Road streets, in this borough, has been purchased at $500, by Mr. _Weidle, agent for Wm. Coleman, Esq., to be used for the ultimate erection of an Episcopal Church. The lot ia a fine one, 66 feet front on Hill street, and nearly 200 on the Plank Road, and eligibly situated for a Church. Judging from Mr. Colemah 8 means and liberality we are free to say that be will .build an ornament to the town. Episcopacy in Pennsylvania is gradually on _|the increase. Bishop Potter, in his re-,cent diocesian address, stated that the number .of confirmations the past year Wa? 1,402. The number irj,1856 was 97$, ' ¦ ' ¦ * ""_' : . ;.: ,n: ': :. " \ _03" In every section of country the crops this year are promising of a most ubundant harvest. North, south, east and west the papers and private accounts are most cheering. 0_O~The Female Seminary under the charge of Legh R. Baagher, Esq., closed its session week before last. This institution is in a most prosperous condition, and deserves the patronage of the friends of Female Education. The principal, Mr. Baugher, is eminently qualified as an instructor of young ladies, having had ample experience in the art of teaching, and possesses the ability which cannot be surpassed, to create an ambition for study among his pupils. His assistant Mr. Decamps is an excellent instructor in Music and of the French Language. 0O" Thomas Kramer, Esq., has been appointed Post Master at Palmyra, Lebanon county, in place of Christian Hoffer, resigned. This is a very good appointment, and we presume meets the wishes of the good people of Palmyra. The retiring Post Master, Mr. Holer, made as obliging and popular an officer as he is a landlord. May he always prosper_. We are also informed, although we have not seen the official announcement, that O. H. Stinemetz, has been appointed Post Master at Annville, in place of John Frantz.
