Soon after the ritles arrived the girls took the old man's horses and set off fopau F.lk'hunt up Big ' Elk Lick in Potter County. At the mouth of Long Hun they found five .Elk in the creek, near wheni Levi Fuvman now lives.— They dismounted and crept as near as they couldand tired away, bringing down two 101k. They at once set about loading their rillesand Molly got a ]\u\l jammed and broke her ramrod.— Anna had better luckand brought down another 151k. The rest ran away. The girls loaded their horses with 151k meat and returned home. •Not long after this Anna saw an Elk in the creek ,\and taking her rille set out for it....
