THE' ILLINOIS FREE TRADER. From the Globe. The IltiaoU Mcnalor. The election of Judge Brcese to the senate of the United Slates from Illinois, has been announced bv the press of the administration as a matter through which a schism misht be introduced into the de " . 1 mocratic party. It seems that the present powers, having seceded from winery, would be happy to have seccders from any oilier party to join them. If they could only gel the party lines, traced by diversity of political principle, obliterated, have all who adhere to the faith founded on principle abjured as ultras, and establish a comfortable half way house, where all could meet and regale themselves who looked to government as merely the dispcnser of loaves and fishes, it is quite possible the administration might make a parly. And nothing, surely, could contribute more to the success of such a scheme, than dissension in the Democratic ranks, lend ing lo divert it from the pursuit of the public interes t, for the prom...
