Mining Operations in Arizona Th mining camps of Arizona seem to be attracting a great deal more atten tion than almost any others nQw, and many investments. A few years ago they were to be given up to the scum of the territories, outlaws and Indians, a scarcity of water and wood render these classes a little more secure in their possession by reducing the desirability of the country. Now that the scum and Indians have been driven out, how ever, a great many mining investors are going in and finding the lack of wood and water form less of a drawback than was imagined. The older dis tricts are very well taken up, considera ble in copper mining, ane of the largest prospective properties of this character, the Yuma, being held in this city. In most of the properties of value, water bus been found in very large quantities in the natural developm...

amzowa weep-y jewtmmniEiL WEDNESDAY, DECEMBER 19, 1888. Why nat Abolish the Office? School teachers who took the recent examination are asking themselves if the printer who did the typographical work followed the copy, and if so who got up the questions. The papers are a disgrace t the printers' profession in the territory. Phenix Herald. The Star did not do that batch of printing for Prof. Strauss but we will wager a banana that the printer fol lowed copy.
