inter. OFFICIAL PAPER OF COUNTY. LAEGEST CIRCULATION. J. W, BOWEN. ElltoT The Gold Ring. At the present time there is quite a lively discussion in Hew York in regard to the connection of Grant and bis family with the recent gold ex citement in that city. It is now stated, and on good au thority, too, nhnt Mrs. Grant received $20,000 in real estate for her influence on her 1ms band in preventing the sale of gold any sooner than was done by Boutwell, Coibin, brother-in-law, nppeara to have been manager between the 'ring' and the President, Butter field, the Assistant Treasurer in New York, was also concerned in the affair, and is said to have lost a very largo sum by not selling in time. The whole wears a disgraceful and humil iating aspect, and even though Graut may not be connected with it, the intimation is enough to make it appear un favorable before the country.
