Intelligence of the earthquake in various other islands is given in the annexed extracts from letters received by the Frances Jane, published in the American. St. Joiix, P. R., Feb. 14, 1S43. "We had a severe shock of an earth quake on the 8th inst., but it was not so severe as the one last year, though it lasted a longer time.
