Wise Talks By The Office Boy DIGNITY OF LABOR f ~ Beneath a shady tree they sat; He held her hand, she held his hat, I held my breath and laid right flat; They kissed-I saw them do it. He held that kissing was no crime, She held her head Up every time I held my peace, and wrote this rhyme While they thought no one knew it. The old man says, "Do not run away from your difficulties, they are your friends." Did it ever occur to you that hunger causes nearly all the industry there is in the world? The trouble with a great many young men nowadays is they don't want to work between meals. It won't be many years before the only man who is not respectable will be the man who consumes but does not produce. The mechanics and salesmen and school teach ers and farmers and laborers in every walk of life will be the real 9 "smart sct" and the drones will all be trailers, hanging on to the fringe of society by their eyebrows. The man or woman who w >rks will be the real tabasco sauce. Now don't...

YELLOWSTONE MONITOR. ABSOLUTELY INDEPENDENT. Published at Glendive, Dawson County, Montans by E. A. MARTIN. SUBSCRIPTION PRICE, $2.00 PER YEAR Entered as second-class matter March 3, 1905. at the postoffice at Glendive, Mont., under the Act of Congress of March 3, 1879. THURSDAY. MAY 6. 1909. For A General Market Day A movement is being talked of and planned for among Glendive merchants for the establishment of what is known as a general market day. The very large number of far mers lately coming to our county have served to make some such move very advantageous. The idea in brief is, that on a cer tain day the farmers bring whatever extra produce they may have to the city, where it is auctioned off to the highest bidder. The plan has gener ally worked well wherever it has been tried. There is no apparent reason why it should not succeed here, if the merchants and the far mers work in unison. The chief thing to commend the plan is that it gives the farmers a chance to get some ready...
