I used to ride with Joe Friday once a week ("This is the city.... Los Angeles, California"... .re- member). After that I rode with Ironside awhile, mostly because he always had a pretty assistant, but from then on I mostly stayed away from the cop shows. For one thing, there is a fair possibility you'll get stopped if you cruise through town doing better than 45 m.p.h. Actually the speed limit in town is 35 m.p.h., but Nestoroff said that he allows 10 m.p.h. extra before stopping a motorist. Nestoroff demonstrated...

MAY 25. 1978 Majority Of Seniors Prefer To Work Fewer Grads Going To College BY GARRY PEEBLES SMITHVILLE — A few years ago. a standard line used by all high school commencement speakers at graduation exercises was, "You are now at the cross- roads of your life." Needless to say, it won't all be fori and games, but graduating classes have faced the same challenges in the past. For the last 12 years, the public school systems of this county have shaped and molded these young adults. How well the job was done remains to be seen.
