We wel- come them, and they will find that Texas enter- prise will meet them folly half-way : We hear a rumor, just now, obtaining currency in the city, which, if verified, is fraught with im- portant consequences and benefits to St. Louis. It is that a railroad corporation of which Hon. Dan- iel a Dickinson, of New York, is to be President, is in progress of formation, with the intention of buying out the Southwest Branch of the Pacific •ftq'iiwmd, and extending it to the northern border of Texas, where it will be met by the Texas Cen- tral Road, a part of which is now under construc- tion in a northerly direction from Galveston.
