ABORIGINAL TRAGEDY. The Commissioner for Police received a telegram from Hughenden on Mon- day to the effect that on Sunday an Aboriginal named Friday had stabbed   another native named Fred. The tra- gedy occurred about four miles from Wandangie, near the South Australian border, and Fred died about 20 minu- tes later. His assailant decamped and   after following the tracks for four   miles, Constable Bates had to aban- don the pursuit for the night. The   chase had been resumed, and the ar- rest of the fugitive was expected mo- mentarily.
