The task entrusted to the Stipendiary. Magistrates, Electoral Re gistrars, and Electoral Inspectors in connection with this matter, presents a distinguishable feature in that of the number of nnmes which are struck off in nearly every district; and, as appeared in our issue of last week, it will be seen that North Melbourne, and the H6tbam Division of Melbourne West, have been decimated by the ruthless purifying pro cedure, and many voters removed from the rolls, amounting in the former elec tbrate to 1,000; and in the portion of the latter one specified to 380. CRICKET CLUB CONCERT. -A CONCERT in aid of the Union Memorial Church Cricket Club \vas held in the schoolroom, Elm-street, last Tuesday evening. The Rev. A. J. Wade, pastor, presided, and Mr. W. B." Shorland, the church orginist, acted as accompanist. There was. a good attendance.
