QUARTERLY REPORT. [Newspaper Article] — Hawthorn, Kew, Camberwell Citizen — 10 July 1914

QUARTERLY REPORT. Cr. Nolan said that a little over two months ago the general purposes committee agreed that a statement of receipts and expenditure of the differ ent wards, and also the engineer's quarterly report, should be placed be fore the coimittee. It was remark able that at the' first opportunity no report was forthcoming, which placed the committee at .a great disadvantage. He was very disappointed, for the matter was one of essential importance and few things should be allowed to stand in the way of it. If the report had been received it would have been possible to give some intelligent diritic isms on the balance-sheet. He could not understand why the quarterly re port was not submitted. .Cr. Rigby said the engineer in fornied him that he thought it was the next committee meeting he had to re bort to.
