They were introduced with «ome trouble into England about 177S. Anticipations. BY "AUGUR'S GHOST." [Newspaper Article] — Narandera Argus and Riverina Advertiser — 30 April 1895

Anticipations. bt ' auode's ghost,' The annual meeting of the Narandera Turf Club commences to-morrow, and the handicaps issued by Mr Price have caused double event punters a lot of anxiety, so much that the pencillers have had to extend their books. Those who a week ago thought they could pick it in one try, have hud several, and yet they are not satisfied with their handiwork. The Hurdle Rioe comes first, and without any ado I will place them thus :— ' Bowjckt ? 1 Iitrcr ? 2 Glbnmoee ? 3 The N.T.C. Handicap comes next, and I think the winner will come from Ready Money, Silver Rose, Waxworks, Ganmain, Envy, and Early Morn. I would place them thus:— Waxwobks ... . ... 1 Ganmain ... ? ? 2 Envy ? 3 The Town Plate will depend a lot on the N.T.C. Handicap, and I fanoy the result will most likely be : — Silver Rose ? 1 M.L.A ? 2 Ganmain... ? 3
