Lower Barrington. A Sensational Incident.-The driver of one of Mr. Blockaby's team was carting in gi aili recently to Mr James Leary's had an experience that he would not care to have rep -eated. Going along a steep side ing, the whole concern capsized throwing the horses over. Serious consequences were only averted by cutting the harness. Sickness Prevalent-There has been a lot of sickness about the dis trict complaint generally being a   sever e form of cold. Master Will Allison, who has been seriously ill for a considerable time, is now improving. Perth.-Bush fires are raging in the Talbot district and the town of Vork is enveloped in smoke. Fires a-e also burning in the Katanning district. Brisbane.-The Department of Agriculture is exercising great care in udmittirg pntatr es from the other States in view of f e planting season approaching. To-day a consign- ment from the south of 45 bags was found to be infected with blight and condemned.
