A Peculiar. Case. On Wednesday, 28th December, Mr. J. A. Martin (coroner), Dr. Wrigley, and Sergeant Cook, pro ceeded to Mordun Greek, 13en Lomond, where an inquest was held .upon tho body of Caroline Palmer, wife of 'Thomas Palmer, selector, of that place. Sergeant Couk gave evidence of the condition in which he. found the body; no marks of violence appeared thereon, and he attended Dr. Wrigley^ who made a post mortem examination of the. hod.v.' Thomas Palmer deposed to deceased being his' wife. She had been ailing for some five' years, and was attended by Dr. M'Pherson, of Glen Tunes, for a short time some tive years ago. Mr. Fredericks slaughti-red a Lincoln some time ago whiiih weighed lOOlbs., and helms a few more at home which would surpass this one. List year he offered a prize at the Lismoro show for district sheep, but did not enter. Should a class be included in the schedule tin's show, Mr. Fredericks said he would exhibit.
