- - -' - - i PAP EH FOR THE PAM81Y C3RCIE--DBVOTED TO THE AMUSEMENT AN 3WSTftüT80 OF VOUNfi AHA 010. 1 THE AMERICAN. Joha 8. Eeid It U due to the public tht I should reply to the article M John 8. Reid, published last week in the Indiana American, Conner vi lie Telegmph, and Franklin Democrat. I regret that the editors of the two latter paper should see proper not to publish my first article in regard to Judge Reid. In that article I made charges against the official conduct of Judge Reid, which, if true, the people ought to know. Ia regard to aueh publications, every gentleman conducting a public journal mast act on his own convictions of duty and propriety, and consequently I have no complaint to mske. Yet it would have suited my ideas of justice better, to have my article published with, or in the same papers in which the Judges answer appears, and then let the public who are interested, determine the question. Judge Reid, and those disposed to excuse or justify his conduct, desi...
