The remaining six ara known as log roads, being dovoted exclusively to the transfer of pino logs from tho forests, and will disappear when tho timber is cut. Since tho last report seven new companies with a capital of G 782,000 have formed to build ,117 miles of road. There are 6,0 U ruilos in the state, an increase of 7S miles over last year, and there are only seven counties in the lower peninsula without railroad accommodations.
