United States at the forth coming electrical fairs. It has been decided by the President and Cabinet not to call an extra session, it not being deemed necessary. by existing ctreum stances. The treasury authorities at Wash ington have become convinced that under ex isting laws $150,000,000 of maturing bonds maybe practically relunded at 8 or 3x per cent., independently of the treasury hoard or the surplus revenue. The treasury department's report on trichinae and trichinosis is nearly ready for distribution. The folly of any nation pro hibiting the entry of pork from abroad, when in point of fact no country is without trichinae of its own, is well shown, and it is held to b? ridiculous to assume that a foreign variety is more harmful than those of native produc tion. Secretary Blaine has obtained from Dr. H...
