Gib bon, dated Big Hole Pass, Montana, 11th, says that his losses in the recent fight were seven officers and 53 men killed and wounded. The Indians suf fered much more severely, 40 of their dead having been counted on about one half of the battle-field. Gen. Howard had arrived and announced that he would continue the pursuit of the In dians as soon as possible. Gen. Sher idan regards the battle as being a most disastrous defeat for the cncmy,notwith standing our troops suffered severely.
