MORNING LEADER. - PUBLISH KD BY COWLES & CO. E. SATURDAY MOKNISU. NOV. . Ship Raising in Sevastopol. Raising the sunken ships at Sevastopol is still going on successfully. A number have been blown to pieces and raised .in fragments, and others are raised entire. Among the latter is the beautiful steamer Turk, captured from the Turks at the commencement of the war. She was built esjiecially for Ihe Sultan Her engines are nearly in perfect order and her hull not at all worm eaten. The Russian Government ap praised har at $15,000. A war steamer built iu 1833 has also been raised, sound and uninjured ty worms, and engines in good condition. Five a earners more have been got ready to bring up. The iron steamer Danube was found to be so heavy that the iron chaiu used in lifting her cut her completely in two. The yard of the compa ny engaged iu raising the ships resembles avast arsenal, strewed with portions of the recovered wrecks, heaps of giina, anchors, chains, and every concicveab...

MORNING-LEADER, E. PUBUSHED BY COWLES & CO. MONDAY MORNING, MV. S, 1S5S. Sorghum, and Sorghum Syrup. ' The cold and wet Spring made it to get the Chinese Sugar Cane started, and pre vented many farcers in the West who intended to do so Irom planting it altogether. The fine Autumn has partially made amends for t'le dis appointment, and the Sorghum seed has not only ripened well but the yield of juice has been bountiful. Iowa has taken the lead in ihe culture, and it is estimated that the Sorghum syrup made in that State this Fall will save a million of dollars to the people in the article of sweetening a one. In Illinois considerable Chinese sugar cane has been grown, and the Illinois Fanner of the 1st inst. states that a sugar mill at Springfield is running night and day, giving employment to two sets of hands, an J turning out from 250 to 300 gallons of syrup per day.
