We make the same request of sev- eral others, whose letters have reached us, notwithstanding they have been addressed to Mr. Quishen—Cushion—Coshen—Cash en —Question—et cetera, too numerous to mention. J®-The first appearance of frost herp for the last five years has been as follows: 1863, Oct. 25th. There were some cases of favCi in Galreston, Houston and .Rich- mond subsequent to that. In 1854 the first frost was on Not. 12th; 1855, on Oct.24th; 1866, Not. 5th; and 1857, Oct. 17th, there was a slight frost and Not. 6th a heaTy one. WDr. MoCrmren, of thia city, in a let- ter to the Sews, gives the following outlines of his soeeeasM treatment of yellow fever: If I would not be regarded as presumptu- ous, I would like to eall the attention of jour younger and less experienced physi- cians to the very simple plan of treatment which I have found successful; and, what is equally important, easily enforced. In the tha first place, early attention to the case ; and perfect submission on the part of the patient is essential. Let the patient go to bed at onoe, and drink warm water till the stomach is thoroughly emptied ; place the feet in a mustard bath ; evacuate the bow- els with moderate dose of castor oil; keep the pstienUwcH protected in bed, and in a free sweat by giving for drink orange leaf or other simple tea; keep the head cool with oold water, or ice,|if neoessary—it does not arrest sweating.
