M alone, the coun- tyihealth officer who operates ft® hospital under a con- tact with the county, stands charged with missappropria- ti«n of $6,000 in county funds, the" balance alleged to be un- accounted for out of $15,000 appropriated by the county commission to put up the hos- pital. Furthermore, county com- missioners are mentioned in a civil suit filed for collection of alleged debt, as profiting individually from the opera- tion of the hospital, which, it is alleged, is not run for the benefit of the tax payers. These are very serious al- legations, and warrant com- plete. and thorough investiga- tion. The suit as filed does not show just how the county commissioners are supposed to profit, but the basis of the suit must be brought forward sometime, and finally on the witness stand.
