MISCELLANY, ORIGINAL AND SELECT. [Newspaper Article] — Hobart Town Gazette — 29 April 1826

MISCELLANY, ORIGINAL AND SELECT. The Australian Agricultural Company succeeded in obtaining a great number of excellent servants of approved character, not so much by offering good wages as by relieving them of all anxiety about the future provision for their children, and by insuring the husband's life for the benefit of his wife and family in case of accident. The Gazette of the 13th of September   contains many projected improvements about Pall-mall and Charing-cross, and also in the city round St. Paul's, to which wide and spacious streets were to be opened. A spacious street is about to be opened between Pickett-street, through Lincoln's Inn Fields to Holborn. The street making from the British Museum to Northumberland House, is to be the widest, and " the most magnifi- cent street ¡n the world;'' it is s...
