Sit,—Being neither the instigator nor .the writer of the correspondence com plained of by Mr O'Callahan re Morgan pnnt, allow me to state thatit is a notori oai fact that the approaches to the Mor gan punt are in a bad state, and at times positively dangerous. I have witnessed several minor accidents, and consider it is only lack that there have been no seri ous accidents happen. As forUorgan punt comparing favourably with other punts along tha river, I am sore that Horgan compares very unfavourably with, say, Blanchetown or Swan Beach punts. RENMABK HOSPITAL BOARD. The Seamark Hospital Board elected last week has lostno time in getting to work. The-first meeting, was held on 'Wednesday afternoon, when Mr Wyllie was elected preaideut of the. Board, and Mr 1$. C. 'Gibbons appointed secretary at a salary tof £50 a year, and 10 per cent, on the monies raised from the date of his appointment. Mr Wyllie,-in thank ing his colleagues for the honour con ferred upon him, expressed the opinion that there was a strenuousyear ahead of the Board, and lie trusted that alLmem-? bers would endeavour^ to assist himby their regular attendance at the meeting*. Jones, I.S.O., secretary to the Commissioner of Public Works, has writ-, ten to the Keamark Railway committee to the effect that It has now been defi nitely decided that tbe ceremony of driv ing the last spike of the Paringa railway will take place at 10 a.m. on Friday, the 3rd. of October. The party with His Ex cellency and 'Ministers, members and others will leave Adelaide on Thursday night, October 2nd.'
