What had promised, before play commenced last Saturday, to be an interesting match for the semi-final game between these teams, developed into a very one-sided game , the Frlondlies, who have been very suc cossful during the season putting up a very weak showing, being ulti mately defeated by 221 runs on the first innings. District Cricket BENALLA DISMISSED FOR 110 IN FINAL GAME SPLENDID BOWLING BY BOB DOSSER The semi-final match between Benalls and Friendlies was concluded on Saturday lest, the latter team putting up rather a feeble effort against Benalla's fine score of 308. With two wickets down for 34, they continued their Innings, and were ail disposed of in an hour's play for 87 runs. . COTTELL-81MON8. On Slaturday afternoon at Holy Trinity. :Cathedral, Wangaratta, a pretty wedding was celebrated by: the Rev. Canon Dicker, when Miss Eileen Mary Simons was married to Mr Charles Henry Cottell, of Benalla. The bride, who Is the eldest daugh ter of Mr W. T. Simons, Harper Street, Wangaratta, and of the late Mrs Simons was given away by her father. Her well cut frock of white satin was made with a long, slimly fitting skirt, and lng. sleeves. The simple bodice was fnished with a V neckline, at which was pinned a gold brooch which had been worn by her mother on her wedding day. The. long tulle veil was caught to her hair with two rows of orange blos som and she carried a bouquet of white flowers. Miss Edna SiBlmons at tended her sister as bridesmaid. Her pretty frock of powder blue silken crepe had a long full skirt and short puff sleeves. The neckline was fin Ished with a Peter Pan collar.
