Although the residents along the Brighton foreshore, near, Dendy st., have withdrawn their opposition to the erection of dressing screens on the beach, the provision of these pub lic facilities is causing some concern to a section of the ratepayers who desire to keep the foreshore for tthem selves. At Monday's meeting the council received a* lengthy letter from Mr. G. M. Beck, emphatically pro testing against the expenditure of the ratepayers'" money in this direction, which would result in bringing an undesirable class of people to. Brigh ton.
