The fact is getting more anld more apparent every day-as we have again and again pointed out-that evel the best hand made butter cannot compete with what is made in the factories-where a hald' never touches it at all-where the salt and preservatives are thoroughly inter mixed-where, in fact, everything is d...

LETTERS TO THE EDITOR. [We do not hold ourselves responsible for correspondents' opinions. Discussion on public topics invited, but personalities cannot be permitted.] EXCHANGE OF ROADS. TO THE EDITOR OF THE CHRONICLE. [Newspaper Article] — Yea Chronicle — 4 June 1891

LZTTERhS TO THE EDITOR. -4. [Weo do not hold ourselves responsible for correspondents' opinions. Discussion on public topics invited, but personalities cannot be permitted.] EXCHANGE OF ROADS. TO TIlE EDITOR OFr TIL CHRONICLE. Sm.,-Ratepayers' attention is called to the exchange of road at present used from the Tallarok one, about a mile west from the chin Chin finger-post.to one that has been ourveved about 30 chains.from the same place, giving the ratepayers at the Home wood end a great deal longer journey, and at unnecessary expense. 1No doubt, a change of road caused by the railw'ay, if taken from the gate-house. would be best for all parties, and Mr. Rico could not complain, as it would give him at least an acre of ground more, and his objection to loss of water frontage might be met with by access for his stock to the Yellow Creek, underneath a snomall bridge on a dry golly that would be required for the road, giving him a frontage to his large paddock, which he has not at pre...

DAIRY FACTORY AND CREAMERIES. A COMPANY TO BE FORMED. [Newspaper Article] — Yea Chronicle — 4 June 1891

DAIRY FACTORY AND CREAMERIES. A COMPANY TO BE FORMED. IN accordance with an advertisement which appeared in the two previous issues of the CHRONICLE, a meeting was held at the Shire Hall, Yea, on Friday afternoon, when 31. T. Hunt, ILL.A., delivered an ddress on the modern system of dairying. The hall was about half filled, and a few ladies were present. Mr. J. C. Sanders, President of the Shire, occupied the chair. The Chairman said it afforded him much pleasure to introduce Mr. Hunt, their old and resdected member, who had represented the district for so many years with credit to himself and the district. It was strange that he should have at all to introduce Mr. Hunt, whose name was a .household word, thronghout the length and breadth of the district; but as it was usual on such occasions to have a chairman, he supposed lie was like the mustard in the sandwich. They had not, however, .come to listen to him, but to hear an address from 'Mr. Hunt, and he had therefore much pleasure...
