Obituary. ■ : It is with sincere < regret we-i-record. the; death ' of Mrs. Wm, Johnson, of Gotta Walla, which sad event, took place' on Thui'sduy uigbt. at 10 o'clock. The cause of death' was heart disease, cirrhosis. of the liver and dropsy. Deceased had been ailing for some; years. Dr. Fitzpatrick-.was called'^hv ibat entertained no hopes of recovery land pronounce'd the case to be almost : hopeless-. However, in order to re lieve the pressure on the heart, the doctor, as a last,resort,; performed-, the operation of paracertisis abdomenalis f. bat, unfortunately, his efforts were of1 no avail. The (ieceasad leaves a hus hand and two daughters to' mourn fcheir-loss, one of the daughter being Mvs. ft. Cartwright, of Kempton. Wedding. AS briefly reported in last issue, a very pretty though quiet wedding was   celebrated at the residence of Mr. J. Bradley, Robertson-street, Crook-   well, when. Mr. S. Cook, second son of the late Mr. S. Cook, of Goul- burn, was married to Miss M. Moxon, youngest daughter of the late Mr. Jas. Moxon,of Sofalla, the officiating clergy- man being the Rev. B. D. Bryant. The bride was dressed in white silk, trimmed with valenciennes lace and chiffon, with picture hat to match, and she wore a gold brooch, the gift   of the bridegroom. The bridesmaid was Mrs. J. Bradley, who wore a grey silk dress, with toque to match. Mr. J. Bradley acted as best man. The wedding presents were pretty and costly.
