Prospecting for Fish. Three, or,four weeks a~o thre Port land Bay tisher. ?Walter Todd, WIillims Dusting and William Reynolds, dissatis fied with th,* result of their labors in, these waters, chiefly through the low prices then ruling in the Melbourne fish tiarket, resolved to try their lu-k further afield, and from what they had heard thought the S.E. coast of South Aus tralia would afford a profitable fiell for their industry. They acco.rdingly took ship at this port for RivJi Bay, in the A.S.N.Co.' str Emr, carrying with them the centrehoard boat Alice Maud, with lines, nets, crayfish traps, and other en gines of their trade. Arrived at their 'destination, they soon found thit they had only escaped fromnt the fryingpan to perish in the fire.
