November 28. i On Monday last a man named James Elesdale, alias Munro, a driver in the employ of Mr. Adam Watson, fired six shots at a teamster named H'Evoy, with whom he had been fighting on the road between Aramac and Bclltopper. Three of the shots wounded M'Gvoy's hor. es, around which he was dodg ing, and a third struck him in the abdomen, passing through the intestines and down the thigh. Medical aid was procured, but the unfortunate man died on Wednesday even ing. On Thursday morning an inquest was held by Or. Spark at Kingston's Hotel. Elefcdale is now in the lock-np awaiting examination.

SYDNEY. FmbAr. November 26. A horrible incident occurred here lately. During the absence of their parents three children, a bo; aged eight, a younger sister, and a child aged four, went out shooting. The latter was she t accidentally in the side by his elder brother, who hid the body in a stamp hole, where it was afterwards dis covered by (lie horrified parents. Captain Moonlight's gang have been ar raigned on the charge of murdering Cun Htable Iioweii. who has died from the wounds received. Counsel linve been provided for each prisoner exccpt Moonlight, who desires to conduct his own defence. ' JJr. Alexander Stuart lias been appointed Agent-General in place of Mr. Forater, who has been recalled. The Wantnliadgery butlirangers arrived in Sydney on Wednesday morning. They were heavily ironed, and were at once conveyed to Darlinghurst. A block of city property in George-street has been sold for £160,000. The Colonial Sugar Company has further advanced prices by £2.

Farewell Supper to Mr. Balaton. Mo. W. V. Kalston, tlio Manager of the Queensland National Bank at Tambo, being about to leave that place on six months leave of absence, with tbe probability of his being appointed to some other branch afterward?, was entertained at a champagne supper prior to fain departure. Monday last was the evening chosen for the festivity, and at % o'clock a goodly com pany sat down to one of the grandest spreads that has ever yet ornamented the fables of the Corrangarra Hotel. Champagne, we arc informed, was plentiful as water, and al I hough the toasts were all houored with brimming glasses the supply held out till the meeting broke up at 1.30 a.m. Mr. J. T. Clarke, of Grccndale, occupied tbe chair, the vicc chair being ably filled by Mr. Whitman. The usual loyal toasts were drunk in the orthodox style, and after the Queensland National Bank had been honored with a similar compliment, the Vice Chairman pro posed tbe toast of the evening, "Our guest."
