Balranald Police Court. (Before E. L. Rowling, Esq., P.M.) L. Southee, v. W. Berthon, this was a claim for wages. The plaintiff deposed that he was engaged by defendant to drive horses and waggonette. In driving one day near Silvester's Boxdale Hotel, having to go through a gate, the horses in which plaintiff was in charge bolted, the plaintiff who did not know the   horses well, did not tie them up, as a   precautionary measure, consequently the animals bolted, injuring one horse   and damaging the trap.           The defendant, Mr. Berthon, refuses   to pay wages claimed on account of damage caused by negligence of plain- tiff, and showed in evidence the amount of injury and damage sustained, Mr. Berthon showing that no ordinary or safe measures were dealt with in con- nection with the horses drawing the waggonette.
