MASSACHUSETTS GUARD. Annual Ball of Co. B, First Regt., M.V.M., COMPLIMENTARY TO THE ASSOCIATE MEMBERS. Governor Ames and Staff Receive a Rousing Welcome. The annual military and civic ball given by the Massachttselts Guard, Company B, First Regiment, complimentary to its honorary members, was held at Union Hall on Thursday evening. It was a brilliant success. Shortly after eight o'clock Iho active company, under command of Captain Dallinger, marched Into the hall to the music of the First Regiment Fife, Drum and Bugle Corps, James Clark, leader. A short exhibition drill was given In which the company acquitted itself finely. The drcsi parade was next in order, aft r which the company was reformed and Captain Dalllnger stepped to the centre of the hall, and In a neat speech presented to the company a handsome gold medal which is to be competed for annually by the marksmen of the company.
