This just infuriates me, makes me feel sick! How could Palin throw aside and disregard all the hard work, love, and dedication so many people have done to try and abolish teen pregnancy in our society. I understand no one is perfect and she can’t be totally responsible for her daughter’s actions. But not to support a very important issue in our social structure? I don’t judge her, but I wonder what it was the Republican VP nominee said to her daughter, if anything at all, about sex? Sarah Palin opposes comprehensive sex education in public schools. She’s said she will only support ab-stinence-only approaches. FROM JUANITA ARELLANES JUNCTION CITY Questions for writer 1. Have you ever looked at a map of the United States? 2. The Clampers’ grill was full of tri-tips, served with all of the trimmings. Our D. C. fi refi ghters, Tina and Steve Scott who prepared pit pork barbecue, will be pleased to hear the proceeds are estimated to be $ 11,000. The Art Cruise Saturday evening was rich with events. Weaverville sidewalks were alive with a cross section of neighbors having a great time seeing fantastic displays. Julie Fleener, Patti Lewis and I had gone straight to the 5 Windows Gallery after the fi refi ghters’ barbecue to see artwork made with various insets of wood. Eric Blomberg of B Bar ...

Freeman said he doesn’t care where the money comes from, but wondered if there has been any push from Heywood up to higher levels of the Forest Service to seek a change in policy or a waiver. She advised that for individual situations, talking with the district ranger is always the first option and she introduced Lance Koch, recently of Forks, Wash., who started last week as the new Weaverville district ranger replacing Joyce Andersen who retired in June. She added that she did not make that rule and apologized“ to anyone who has an unrepaired, permitted waterline, but I simply don’t have the money through suppression to fix waterlines.” need to understand I don’t make the rules. Repair is still part of fire suppression and we’re not able to repair the waterlines.” Angered by the answer, Freeman said,“ I can’t accept somebody waiting six months to two years and why is there objectivity needed?
