sSs A Bt- m. the t ment Jhc §MI\t Jlctus* i>KNI oiSK " • WEDNESDAY MAY 7, 1878.. Greenbacks and Inwuuty. Dallas has a first class mystery in the shape of an insane old man who makes his residence in a tree, anil I whose load is brought to hiui til a 11- deotingly by a young andrathel" pre- possessing, young woman. The Dal- las officials appear to be quite as cu- rious lo fhul out something about this old man and his protecting an- gel, as they are about Bass himself. So the other morning Marshal Mor- ton, in company with a prominent physician, several citizens and a re- porter (this last, of course, to see that the exact truth was told), am- bushed that tree, and sure enough caught the woman circling around as if trying to avoid observation. Upon being confronted by the pafty and the object of Hej; visit to that local- ity, demanded, she, after some hesitation, gave her name as Mary Fishhack.''
