Levy has just returned from Matamor- ^ «08, and has placed us under obligations lor Mata- moros papers up to lGth inst. He informs us that the forces of the Liberals have become much scat- tered of late, as will also be seen from extracts bo- low from the Ranchero. The streets of the city ha7e all been fortified with earth works. Mr. L. informs us that two flat boats came down the rive on the night of the 14th, and attacked the Imper- ial gunboat, which Bucceed in sinking both flats. Many of the Liberals were killed, and drowned, and some of them captured. Sinoe writing the above we have the pleasure of a call from Louis Séeligson, Esq., also just from the Rio Grande.
