Guinney.1 A li, interest in racing circles, has centered this week in the list of acceptances, and if all that have paid up come to the scratch, the races of the. first and second of January ought to be lhe best we have ever seeiv in Bega. The' Cup, of course, is the principal topic among the early morning frequenters of Mack's paddock, and -it is thought that the race; will be. between Belmore and Darley, unless Triton shows np in good form. Kaffir .has not. shown out this week. Millionaire is in town, but, so far,' does not look like a winner. Valetta arrived oa Monday, and is ^quartered at the Commercial, along, with My Fancy ; rValetta is a big, racy-looking animal, is re lated to tha Valetta colt well-known on ?Randwick, and, turned in loose, should be an awkward customer. My Fancy will give .Heady's colt a run for the Trial, and I think is already booked tor Mttnro's gift. ? Old Gazette keeps np his pecker, but will, have his 'work to do with Happy Joe. ...
