IVAINHOE RECREATION BAZAAR A meeting of the comlined committce of above was hold in the supper room, i'anhoe hall, on Wednesday evening, aid owing to unavoidable absence of Dr Adam, Vice-President Burrell took the chair, and presided over a full number of inembers. The heads of each stall indi vidually reported that everything was ~going satisfactorily and that all assis tants were working hard,. The presi dent of the shire wound up the clock and sealed same at this meeting. Members :who had books out for the clock and 'other articles reported that they were doing good business. It was resolved for the Saturday afternoon to cater especially for the children by having a first-class ventriquolist, &c., and in the evening the supper room was to be turned into a Palais de danse. THE PARK THEATRE. The Park Theatre opened on Wcdnes day night in the spacious and up-to-date turcs·l wero of the; highest orider, and were'much appreciated by the audi ence. At the conclusion of the ehtertain ment, Crs Trevena and Oakes (Heidel berg shire) and Evans (Collingwood) expressed their pleasure at being pre sent and congratulated the management on their enterprise. Fairfield was fortu nate in having such an up-to-date theatre, and they hoped that the people would patronise it.

HEIDELBERG IMETHODIST S.?S. ANNIVERSARY. The anniversary in connection with the lieidelberg Methodist Sunday school was held in.the church on Sunday, 19th ult., when there were good congregations at all the services. Rev W. Pressley 1conducted the morning service, and the Rev L. E. Bennett, M.A., afternoon and evening. A feature of the services was the singing of the scholars. On the following Monday a tea meeting and con concert was held in the church, and was largely attended. Mr John May pro sided over the concert, when the follow ing contributed items:--ocitations, Misses Wallis and Sheehan, and Maastor Val Sheehau; ducts by Misses B. M'Lcish and T. Robinson, D. Patterson and MI. Scott;, R. Parker and A. Rouch; solos, Misses Lesson, B. Rouch. Messrs Winsor, Parker and Serpell. The ac com paniments were played by Mesdames Smith and Dean and Miss Green. The prizes for the highest number of marks were won by Miss B. and Master Henry Iarkaway.

FOOTBALL. GREENSBOROUGIH. A large and enthusiastic meeting of members and supporters was hold in the Rechabite hall on Friday last, the presi. dent of the club, Cr Price, presiding. The club's delegates report re boundary as defined at the last meeting of association delegates was received and was accepted as satisfactory. The executive oflicers of the club for the ensuing year were then elected as follows:--General Committee -Messrs iSanton, Coglan, Thomas, Cannon, Splatt, C. Elliot, F. R. and J. H. Starling; selection committee, Messrr Coghlan, Splatt, Reg M'Dowell, D. Medhurst and Santon; caretaker, M?r J. Stock; goal umpires, Messrs Santon and F. Eley; timekeeper, Mr D. Medhurst.
