KIAMA MUNICIPAL ELECTION [EAVY POLLING, Ta oelection of throoa Idormen' for the vucancien in the Kiatua Council took plaoo on Saturday. Thee wore five candidates and considerahlo interest was taken in the event. The polling thio year was what might be termed heavy, there being no loes than 779 votes recorded an agalnst 720 the previous year, when there woro oeven candidatro, and l40 in 1897, when theroe ore eight.
