A Chicago teacher has been sued for . ? 5 , 000 damages for correcting a pupil . The mother says that the boy was knocked down , kicked and allowed to fall down stairs . The teacher says he caught the bay by ithe shoulder and that he jerked away and ran down stairs . The law which takes corporal punishment from the privelegs of tho teacher Is a mighty poor one . In those days boys needed vigorous governing , and if the tender-hearted mamas will allow me I will say th...
