It 1$ expected that the Tyramld school will open up next Monday. W. It. Beall was orer from Silver City yesterday to call on his old friend It. T. Hart. Charlie Hogset was in town the first of the week, returning to Clifton from an eastern tisit. Taxes arc due and must be paid by the last of this month. If they are not the sheriff will have to seize and sell personal property and advertise all real estate. Captain Thomas, the World's Fair commissioner of Arizona, passed through town the first of the week on his nay to Clifton, to make arrange ments for collecting specimens of the minerals of that section to exhibit at Chicago. Dr. Hughes, of Denver, Colorado, was in the city Monday on his way to visit his cousin, Clini. M. Shannon at 'Clifton. A. T. Lawrence, a post ofllcc in spector, was in the city this week. He made no kick at the way the post office was run. Harry Dunnier, a cowboy, was kicked by a horse Tuesday, near Dun can. The note was smashed in and the lip badly cut.
