ID3 The Monroe County Educational As relation, will hold a meeting at the Court House, in this place, on Saturday afternoon, November 10th, at 2 o'clock. Teachers and all friends of education are invited to attend. Delaware, Lackawanna and Western Railroad. The work on this road is rapidly progress ing. The rails are being lai.l with all possi ble ppeetl, and more than half the distance from Scranton to the Delaware nver, has been completed. On Tuesday last the Company do livered Coal at the Forks, which, we were informed Bells at $4 per ton. Large Turnips. It states that the Free Love Society, or as it calls itself, the Pro gressivo Union club, has grown out of an organization devised by certain socia theorists, including Messrs. Reeves Jackson, of this place, for the removal of a tumor from the mouth of Mrs. Ann Pedrick. The tumor was situated on the upper jaw, pprinping from the roots of the incisor teeth ind filling the front part of the mouth, caus ing considerable deformity. It had been growing for the 6pnce of four years and a half, giving the patient a great deal of an noyance. Within a few month it had shown a disposition to assume a malignant character, and was hence deemed expedient to remove the whole mass by operation, A'ithout delay The operation occupied but a few minutes of time, and gave the patient very little pain She is now doinjr well, and is relieved from mi unsightly, and what might have proven, a dangerous disease.
